Several initiatives have attempted to tackle this issue:

  • Chainlink Proof of Reserve: Decentralized oracles to verify on-chain reserves.

  • LedgerLens: Auditing tools using Merkle Trees and off-chain attestations.

  • The Network Firm: CPA financial attestation reports for centralized projects.

  • Glassnode / Nansen: Monitoring of self-reported on-chain addresses.

However, none of these tools provide:

  • An integrated on-chain + off-chain view.

  • Comparability across projects.

  • An objective transparency score.

  • Accessibility for all user types.
